24 February · I was diagnosed with spondylolisthesis. (L4 and 5 vertebrae in the spine not aligned.) Severe pain and off work for 8 months. I was facing surgery when, by the grace of God, I was healed. Some of the exercises and stretches shown to me by Jo from Pilates 101 have been extremely beneficial and still are. I have no pain and am back at work, walking, exercising and doing Pilates with Pilates 101. Thanks Jo.

I started doing Jo’s Pilates class last year and loved it, it’s a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere for any level.
I recently started doing her HIIT class too and am absolutely loving that, its quick, effective and Jo keeps things light but not easy.
Finding Jo and Pilates 101 has been a god send for me.
I don’t miss my gym at all as she has so many available classes to keep me challenged.
Thanks Jo!

I have been attending personal training and pilates mat classes with Jo for just under three weeks. Jo is working towards helping me achieve my fitness goals in a professional, caring and friendly manner.
Even in the short time I've been working with Joe, the improvements in flexibility and fitness are remarkable and worthwhile. Thank you Jo for keeping me interested and motivated.
The premises are clean, bright and comfortable. Highly recommend.

I play lots of sport and are extremely active. I wanted a change so I started doing pilates through Jo's active and healthy classes (would also recommend). Pilates has definitely been a challenge for me both mentally and physically! Jo is an amazing instructor who cares for all of her clients. I am not very flexible and in the few months I have been with Jo my flexibility has improved and I am feeling stronger and more aligned. 110% recommend pilates with Jo to anyone and everyone!!

I am a male of ancient years, otherwise fit and healthy, but suddenly struck down with sciatic pain. Simultaneously, I had rotator cuff surgery on my left shoulder, and the aftermath of that was pretty painfull.
Dealing with the shoulder first. My surgeon tried to insist that I go to regular physiotherapy sessions after the surgery. I refused. I have used physio in the past for other issues and quite frankly, it was a waste of money and my time. I still work and travel a lot so I opted to check with Jo to see if she could just give me a routine that I could follow at my own pace, wherever I was. She gave me three simple exercises and when I went back to the specialist for a post-operative review, he was initially cheesed off that I hadn’t gone to a physio, but when he assessed my shoulder movements, he had to concede that I had recovered to the stage that he would have expected under physio. So top marks for Jo for three simple exercises.
The sciatic nerve issue was another animal. It hit me hard to the point that on an overseas holiday last Xmas, I bought a walking stick. The moment we returned home, I went to Jo. I have followed her simple regime to the letter since, and while the pain is still there occasionally, I have thrown the walking stick away, and I realise that the pilates is the only way to go. I have tried everything else, including drugs and nothing works as well as pilates. I have returned to Jo for more help with stretching exercises and I feel confident that they will help me through my future years. It’s a bugger getting old, but thankfully, if you can find someone like Jo, you realise that a few simple exercises can mean the difference between living with pain and being able to do all the things we really want to do. Thanks Jo. And another thing…like all the other so called ‘alternative medicines’ and that includes physio, you go once to Jo, she prescribes your routine and it is up to you to do it. No return visits are needed. But I will go back for a session every couple of months, just to make sure I’m doing it right.

After seeking physio help twice a week for about six months I was recommended to Pilates 101, and after one personal training session felt that I had finally found a direction. I am a hairdresser of forty years duration and as a consequence suffer from severe neck and shoulder problems. Jo, through her Pilates lessons with me, has relieved these symptoms totally. I have lost weight and have flexibility in my body that I have never had before. I am so pleased that Pilates is now a regular part of my life and will always keep it that way" - Rhonda O'Connor
Aside from some small back problems I consider myself to be healthy for my age, which is in the mid fifties. However Pilates as taught by Jo has helped me to a greater level of wellbeing by increasing my fitness and my flexibility. The personal training is comfortable but challenging and has certainly produced results" - Ken Douglas

well thought I share this - 5 weeks ago decided to try Pilates 101 been going 2xweekly and finding this a very health improving experience, in my older years need to find less impact exercise - so to anyone who would like to improve posture/body shape/get a workout and in general feel a lot better give it a go - if I can anyone can DO IT
Ingrid completed her first half marathon just in July 2015 The Gold Coast Marathon. We are so proud of Ingrid and all our clients for completing goals and feeling elated.

Beyond amazing. I've had spinal fusion L4/S1 4 1/2 months ago. Had some complications. Have been having physio every week for 4 months. Sometimes three times in a week as I've been so sore.
First visit. I actually left wondering if I'd ever had surgery. None of the pain that had grown familiar in the morning. I'm now attending for a mix of Pilates and remedial massage. In just three sessions (plus at home exercises) I can stretch that bit further. Did that bit more. The massage part has release my sciatic pain and fusion muscle tightness. I'm feeling more human. So very very happy !!
Thank you Jo, I can't recommend you enough to anyone who is looking to be able to function and retrain your body.
The other amazing thing is that apparently 30 sessions of a full PIlates class gives us a new body; shaping, toning, lengthening. Can't wait until I get to the point where I can do a real class.
Excited at all the prospects
